We at Gemini Plastics are extremely pleased to announce that we have partnered with Zverse and are now offering our customers design and engineering as a service.
Through looking at data regarding request-for-quotes, we realized we had a gap that really needed to be filled. When customers were coming to us for help with a project, but they didn’t have all the necessary information and manufacturable files for us to execute their orders, we struggled to win the customer’s business. This was happening far too often.
Though offering this type of service in-house and starting an engineering department was an option, we were on the lookout for something else, as we worried about being able to effectively fill an engineer’s time, especially in the early stages of offering this kind of service. We were hoping to find an alternative to this traditional approach that would let us focus on what we do best (manufacturing), while still being able to offer top-notch design and engineering services to our customers.
After a fair amount of research, we found Zverse. They offer CADaaS (CAD as a service), which means that they plug into our website and allow our customers to use their design and engineering team. Whether you have a napkin sketch, 2D drawing, or just a concept for a part you need to be manufactured, they can help get you to a manufacturable file. They have a huge network of engineers and designs who specialize in all kinds of different areas. We have immense confidence in their ability to service our customer's design and engineering needs.
Their workflow is very user-friendly and easy to understand. You simply share with them whatever information you have about your project, upload any relevant files, and write out your goals for the project. They will review your request and very efficiently give you a quote for the design and engineering work. If you decide to go ahead with their quote, you will be assigned a dedicated project manager who will work with you from front to back, ensuring that your questions and concerns are answered along the way. When the work is done, the manufacturable files are sent to Gemini so we can execute your order. This whole process is seamless and fast and can happen in as short as 1 week.
Partnering with Zverse will help us better serve our customers by enabling us to guide them through the entire manufacturing process, from concept to execution, while allowing us to maintain our focus internally on our manufacturing processes and excellent customer service.
